The CADD Designer will be responsible for managing CADD setup, production, filing, etc. for this large design project. The Designer is responsible for implementation and maintenance of AutoCAD and MicroStation design standards and protocol for the Surface Transportation Line of Business in the San Diego Production Center. The Designer will work with the professional engineering staff in the development of accurate, detailed plans that meet all requirements for client submittal. The Designer will mentor or train staff in proper procedures for design and how to adhere to company and client detailing standards. The designer will develop 3D modeling of transportation designs and related projects as needed.
**This position can be located in San Diego, Irvine or Los Angeles.
Requires ten plus years of experience and 2-year A.S. degree from an accredited college is preferred. Must have skills with MicroStation or AutoCAD in an engineering environment, specifically associated with the production of transportation plans. Familiarity with Caltrans CADD standards. Knowledge of working with macros and electronic delivery is a plus. In addition, knowledge of MS Excel & Word, as well as computer skills such as networking, hardware/software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting is desired.
