The 3D CAD Modeler will be responsible for developing parametric models in a production environment for structural components of signature bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and facilities. Candidates shall be adaptable to varying design standards, adhere to comprehensive department procedures, able to layout or develop designs with minimal project engineer input, and aid in the development of 2D plan sets. The successful candidate will be a personable employee who is able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers while being adaptable to a complicated and evolving project environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural bridge CAD production for conventional and major concrete and steel bridges.
Requires 5+ years of relevant experience in Civil/Structural CAD/Design or parametric modeling. 2-year technical degree from an accredited technical institution is preferred. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD or MicroStation in a civil or structural engineering environment. Proficient in Revit/Dynamo or Rhino/Grasshopper. Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, Acrobat/Bluebeam, 3DS Max, Inventor, and other engineering production software is recommended. Good verbal and written communication skills. Positive, self-driven attitude.
