    TYLI is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Project Manager to oversee delivery of industrial and highly specialized manufacturing design and construction phase services for new construction Wisconsin. The specific assignment is expected to last one to two years, followed by other assignments throughout the US. It is intended that this be a regular permanent position with TYLI, but does require the ability to be assigned to a project location for 1-5 years.


    Eligible candidates will be a hands-on, highly skilled, individual with a combination of management and technical experience. Background in new construction industrialor large commercial buildings is a must and industrial process, mechanical or energy engineering is preferred. TYLI seeks a leader with proven success managing projects and budgets, and superb communication skills, to grow with our company. The position is located in Milwaukee WI, supported by Regional offices in Chicago and across the US.


    • Work within the described initiative deliverables and interact with other engineers, project managers, and coordinators in the implementation of market-transforming designs for industrial initiatives;
    • Support new construction technical and work standards that expand the development of industrial, hight technology, energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, and support Owner delivery and in those projects;
    • Work with design teams and engineering teams to apply the requirements of programming and concept design , as well as the key supplier requirements to review and validate concept designs;
    • Manage review of project scopes and engineering calculations to confirm that proposed building parameters are consistent with design drawings;
    • Establish, manage and oversee a quality assurance and quality control program for the delivery of the required scope. Monitor and audit periodically to ensure compliance and recordkeeping;
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed the client's expectations;
    • Manage budgets and financial performance and perform resource planning;
    • Develop the business process and program infrastructure for new construction energy initiative services;
    • Develop strong partnerships with developers, design teams, market actors, subcontractors and other industry affiliates;
    • Develop and manage systems and processes to track results for reporting, efficiency, and strategy purposes;
    • Promote initiatives to customers, developers, design teams, contractors, and subcontractors/suppliers;
    • Communicate effectively to solidify relationships with the primary client, subcontractors,and project team;
    • Establish and maintain high standards of work, communication,and deliverables;
    • Coordinate with other teams including engineering, evaluation, emerging technologies, marketing,and financing.

    Skills needed for this assignment include, but are not limited to:

    • Strong project management skills with the ability to set priorities, collect and document project requirements, successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
    • Demonstrated ability to apply and interpret Federal, State and Local Code requirements, as well as the requirements of the Owner and key vendors;
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and facilitiate new construction designs involving multiple disciplines
    • Ability to be a quick and eager learner of new material and think holistically through complex problems, with technical and non-technical components;
    • Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a proactive and collaborative style that works well in teams;
    • Demonstrated ability to act as team leader and thought leader of interdepartmental working groups on complex and/or sensitive assignments;
    • Exceptional organizational, time-management and planning skills;
    • Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate with multiple stakeholders;
    • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with key stakeholder groups; and
    • Awareness of social, economic and environmental contexts of statewide energy and economic development policies;


    Requires 5 years of experience of project management experience in or related to new construction of industrial or technology driven buildings. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.  PE license or ability to obtain PE in Wisconsin within 4-6 months required. Established analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Working knowledge of BIM, energy modeling, tools, electrical substations, and collection and disposal of hazardous waste products is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills. Established presentation/public speaking skills. Excellent computer skills: proficiency in MS Office  (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technologies. Valid driver'slicense; position entails some travel, mostl within Wisconsin, but some international travel to China, Taiwan or other locations with TYLI offices will be necessary periodically.
