  • Overview

    T.Y. Lin International is seeking two Senior Bridge Engineers with bridge design experience to produce design and structural details for bridge projects. The Senior Bridge Engineer position requires technical expertise in bridge design and structural engineering, and to serve as a Lead Design Engineer and a Project Engineer for local agency bridge replacement projects. The engineering duties are comprehensive, and include planning and scheduling of engineering work, client contacts and performing more advanced design.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures
    • Prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates in accordance with applicable DOT Structures Design Guidelines
    • Supervise and overview design calculations and details of the other engineers and technicians
    • Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets
    • Lead the proposal preparation effort for bridge design projects and attend interviews
    • Project management of multi-discipline teams
    • Provide the design staff with guidance and assistance in projects
    • Perform Independent Design Check calculations
    • Perform design options/alternates for both technical & economic impact
    • Ensure proper codes and standards are being used on projects
    • Other assignments as needed

    Qualifications

    Requires BSCE degree (MSCE preferred) with emphasis in structures. P.E. license required and at least 8+ years of concrete and steel bridge design experience and construction engineering. Advanced knowledge of bridge design and analysis software required.
