The Senior Structural Engineer plans and conducts work on projects requiring judgment, independent evaluation, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. He applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of structural engineering assignments and related fields. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in project meetings in order to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work. This position requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of engineering and disciplines. The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work results from progressive experience. Participation in work sharing with other T.Y. Lin offices may be required.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, or equivalent, plus appropriate continuing education. PE License is required. Minimum six to eight years’ experience in Structural Engineering.
