Our East Region is seeking a Senior Project Manager with leadership skills to be a part of the Aviation Sector with a Civil Engineering or related background with airside, landside and/or terminal experience. The duties associated with this position are comprehensive and include project management, client contact, and directing and planning of work.


    • Directs the preparation, tracking and submission of the project deliverables.
    • Thorough knowledge of engineering design, construction estimating, facility operation, project budgeting and scheduling.
    • Has demonstrated experience and can serve as key managerial lead in planning/design/construction of significant aviation projects.
    • Plan, coordinate, communicate and facilitate activities of several disciplines on multiple projects from concept through design, construction and closeout.
    • Manage project delivery, including scoping, budgeting, maintaining schedules, meeting budget objectives, communicating and meeting deadlines.
    • Prepares and tracks projects, ensuring delivery of projects on time and within budget.
    • Monitor all elements of the design and construction efforts to meet the project’s approved scope, schedule and budget.
    • Build strong client relationships by working at client’s office.
    • Maintain and expand existing business relationships in the East Region Aviation market.
    • Contributes to winning aviation terminal, airside and/or landside projects as Senior Project Manager or key team member. Assumes the financial, staffing, scope and schedule management responsibilities of that role.
    • Mentor staff.
    • Prepare project documentation, correspondence and maintain project file.
    • Negotiates fees and contracts; manages expectations; and assures client satisfaction related to projects within the program.
    • Support review of contracts for compliance with TYLI policies and procedures
    • Collaborate and contribute with other from the leadership team.
    • Update and review actual and forecasted project costs and schedule(s) on a monthly basis and develop and implement necessary corrective measures to meet approved plans.
    • Monitor progress of construction, including review of actual and forecasted construction in place and schedule verses authorized contract budget and schedule.
    • Prepare monthly status reports addressing accomplishments, issues, schedule and budget status, including corrective actions, if required.
    • Serve as expert team member or advisor for select projects where expertise is needed
    • Define and ensure effective execution/adherence of the overall TYLI company and aviation client’s initiatives.
    • Occasionally travels to meet and interact with partners and clients.


    • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering discipline or closely related Engineering/Architectural field
    • Professional Engineer license in the State of New York or New Jersey is preferred
    • 8 - 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the area of Project Management
    • Track record of delivering projects, and maintaining positive client relationships
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines
    • Strong leadership, business acumen, and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Well-developed negotiation, proposal and project management skills
    • Commitment to excellence, and high standards of integrity
