Our team is seeking a Façade Project Manager for various building projects.  This is a key leadership position on our team as we grow our building envelope practice. Individual can be based out or our New York, NY or Washington, DC locations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee design team, site-work inspectors and contractors, leveraging engineering/architectural knowledge to ensure quality work is being produced by inspectors, technicians, and that proper codes and standards are being complied on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Conduct field visits and perform construction administration to ensure work is in compliance with plans, specifications and construction control documents.
  • Prepare project data for schedules, assist in preparing schedules and budgets in order to monitor progress reports.
  • Oversee change orders negotiations with contractors.
  • Responsible for communicating with the Client and ultimately seeking approval from Client before proceeding with any new work or changes in work.
  • Must be willing to engage in business development activities, including attending industry events and other related community involvement.
  • Must be willing and able to prepare proposals (technical and financial) in response to RFP’s issued by our Clients.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or closely related technical field.
  • P.E. or R.A. license required and at least 7+ years of experience in façade design and evaluation.
  • Experience in the execution of design, forensic and construction projects as a project manager/technical lead preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in several of these technical areas:
    • Waterproofing of roof and facades for both new and existing buildings
    • Leak investigations in existing buildings
    • New York City FISP
    • Façade Inspections
    • Façade Restoration
    • Glazing systems
    • Foundation waterproofing systems for both new and existing buildings
    • New Building Facades (curtain walls, typical wall assemblies)
    • WUFI analysis (heat and moisture transport in walls)
    • Building thermal performance
    • Familiarity with testing of facades for water penetration
  • Have or ability to obtain:
    • 4 hour scaffold training
    • OSHA 10 hour training
    • 16 hour suspended scaffold
    • New York City QEWI

As part of our commitment to pay equity, the general compensation range for this position is: $94,000-$145,000/yr.
