Our Northern CA region is seeking a Transportation Project Manager. The position requires technical expertise in preliminary engineering, roadway/ highway or transit design, environmental clearance, plans production; and the ability to manage projects and clients, supervise production in multiple offices, and provide day-to-day technical guidance, supervision and career mentoring to direct reports. This role will support our projects in the Sacramento and Valley area. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Project Manager and client interface on specific transportation related projects.
  • Direct proposal efforts for highway or transit pursuits and write assigned sections of proposals.
  • Participate in business development activities for pursuit of a wide range of project opportunities and lead pursuit efforts for major projects.
  • Develop monitor and maintain production work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Work with other project managers and Sector Manager to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.
  • Plan, schedule, supervise, coordinate and review the work of other engineers, designers and subconsultants.
  • Implement established Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures ensuring proper standards are being used on projects.
  • Organize and develop contract plans, specifications and bid estimates.
  • Provide design staff with guidance and assistance on projects.
  • Responsible for the successful completion of projects under his/her direction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • California P.E. license or Project Management certification (PMP) preferred.
  • BSCE required or equivalent work experience, with emphasis in transportation.
  • 10+ years of design experience.
  • Proven track record in successful project management.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with transit agencies, local agency, and municipality procedures, and standards preferred.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $117,300.00 - $175,000.00 annually for this position and local market.
