The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for the accurate recording and posting of accounts payable data to the accounting system. 

Responsibilities

  • Review invoices for completeness and accuracy.
  • Determine allowable and unallowable expenses as per FAR.
  • Interface with IT Department to manage telecommunication plans.
  • Vouch payment transactions to accounting system.
  • Assist with weekly check runs.
  • Compile checks with requests for payment and supporting documents.
  • Research vendor statements, outstanding vendor balances and coordinate vendor relationships.
  • Address vendor inquiries.
  • Upkeep of Accounts Payable Aging.
  • Match bi-weekly expense report dummy checks with backup.
  • Maintenance of Accounts Payable files as needed.
  • Annual audit process.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Deltek Vision/One Deltek would be considered a significant asset
